The great thing about pursuing a doctorate in education is that there will never be a shortage of things to write about. Education is a field in which we are always searching for new ways to reach our students in the classroom—new teaching strategies, new learning strategies, and new ways of using technology to help improve student learning in the classroom and at home.
These strategies will differ, of course, on the age of the population of the young people you concentrate your theories and strategies upon. Fourth grade is different from fifth grade and there is a vast difference from the teaching freshmen in high school and teaching senior level students, so easy ways to strategize the approach of another dissertation student is to focus your study on a different age population.
Another way to limit or focus teaching studies is to focus on the 21st century and any new methods of teaching and reaching students that have been introduced since the year 2000. This method works because we are now more than a decade into the new millennium, giving us a decade with a few years left over to reflect back upon the years 2000 to 2010 or 2000 to 2014.
A good way to focus education dissertations is also focusing upon how technology has affected and continues to enhance positively or influence negatively student learning and comprehension.
